The 2008 Nursing Excellence Awards recognizes nurses who went above and beyond the call of duty during 2007. Nurses are nominated by their patients, patient’s families, and/or co-workers. Ten nurses are selected as finalists during National Nurses Week, and three will be recognized as Top Honorees. 

This year's event will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at 11:30 a.m. at the new Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Dr. Randy Martin, Medical Correspondent for WSB-TV Channel 2, where he appears two to three times per week on Action News, will be the keynote speaker at the event and Jovita Moore, Channel 2 Action News Anchor will be our Emcee.

Come celebrate and share in the recognition of the accomplishments of the nursing industry and our nursing professionals.

Q:  I am nominated. Do I need to purchase a ticket for the event?
A: Tickets for the 10 finalists are covered by ajcjobs, and do not need to be purchased. All other nominees will need to purchase a ticket if they want to attend the awards event.

A: The ticket cost covers the awards ceremony, including lunch.
